Join the Indiana Humanities Council and the Indiana MultiEthnic Committee the night before the Indiana MultiEthnic Conference for Breaking Bread: Building Community, a celebration of food and cultures from around the globe and an opportunity to share and sample the cultures reflected at our state’s table.
Food is a universal cultural element that both unites humanity and distinguishes cultural groups. The need for food links humans across the globe, but the food we eat, the way we grow and prepare it, our mealtime rituals, traditions and conversations … all of these elements distinguish and enriches our cultures and the human experience.
